How to have Peace in our lives...

I was reading a book that a friend gave me as a birthday present last January. It was just last month that I was getting serious at reading it. It was a book somehow similar to Our Daily Bread.. which means that its an everyday thing to read the book with different stories and bible verses to read. Today, I had stumble upon this June 30 entry of the book "Just for today" Guidelines for living by Harold Sala.

"What most people look for but are unsure to obtain, is peace." the author had put 3 guidelines in attaining peace which is different from turmoil.

Guideline #1: Stop playing the "Blame Game". It produces anger, irritation and turmoil. We are often caught on this, since to somehow comfort ourselves and create the feeling of peace, we blame others on what had happened or on how we felt about a situation that we had encountered. Its not good to do this simply because we are creating conflicts with others instead of attaining peace for ourselves.

Guideline #2: Get your relationship right with God. When your life is filled with bitterness, not much peace can fill your heart. Praying and talking to God about how we feel and completely surrender it to Him will really give us peace. As Jesus was talking to His disciples, He said "Peace I live you; my peace I give you.

Guideline #3: Life is too short to live with broken relationships. You will be amazed how different you feel when you would make peace with some of the people who had not brought peace to you. I know its one of the hardest thing to do. But somehow, doing it would bring peace to your life, then pray and ask God for strength in doing this.

-Today can be the best day of your life.
